You are a classic example of what I am referring to. You like the non-standard movies and music that many teens your age are not remotely interested in. Although I am not into MPB as much as you are because I was not exposed to it so much as I grew up in California, I also love Almodovar movies. I think he is one of the finest directors alive today. I have not seen Volver yet, but I was completely taken aback by Everything about my mother, Speak to her, and also Bad Education with Mexican actor Gael Garcia Bernal. That was superb!

In our next assignment, we will have to choose a movie that has made an impact in our lives and show our readers why. Maybe you could pick one of his movies and talk about it to introduce Almodovar to all of your classmates.
